O’Connor * Telezinski
was founded in December of
2005 with the goal of providing high-quality legal
representation to public and private employers in
workers’ compensation, employment law, and business
litigation matters.  We offer personalized, accessible
service to meet the technical needs of our clients.  We
are also committed to providing exceptional value to
our clients by addressing each matter in an efficient
and pragmatic manner, with due consideration to our
client’s objectives.

We take pride in our ability to achieve the balance of
experience, skill, efficiency, and creativity. Our
philosophy is to provide the highest quality legal service
in a timely and efficient manner with careful attention
to the legal, financial, and practical aspects of each
case.

The firm consists of three partners and an experienced
support staff.  
We focus on providing counseling and
litigation services to employers, insurance carriers, and
third party administrators while we have developed a
reputation for professionalism, innovation, and client
     satisfaction. We defend all aspects of workers' compensation claims including 132a discrimination
     claims and claims for serious and willful misconduct.  The firm maintains a state-of-the-art computer
     system, which will be able to transition to a paperless system under EAMS.

     The firm makes it a point to learn about their clients’ particular needs.  They have developed expertise
     in handling issues arising under the California Education Code, as well as workers’ compensation
     issues particular to law enforcement and other safety officers.  Ms. O’Connor and Mr. Telezinski also
     hold the Associate in Risk Management for Public Entities (ARM-P) designation.

   Partner Biographies

    O'Connor

Carrie C. O’Connor graduated from University of California, Irvine with
a Bachelor of Arts in
Political Science in 1992.  She then graduated from
Western State University College of Law in Fullerton, California and
obtained her license to practice law in 1995.  Ms. O’Connor began the
practice of law by representing businesses in general business law matters as
a partner in her own firm, O’Connor and Wente, which operated for six
years.  Ms. O’Connor successfully represented numerous private businesses
in contract reviews and negotiation, business formation, mergers, and
litigation.  In 2002, Ms. O’Connor became an associate with Serembe,
Bakke & Seaman, a San Bernardino law firm devoted to defending
workers’ compensation claims, where she primarily represented permissibly
self-insured public and private entities, as well as insurance carriers.  In
     2005, Ms. O’Connor resumed ownership of her own firm, O’Connor * Telezinski, with Joseph C.
     Telezinski, Jr. as her partner.  Ms. O'Connor is a Founding Partner of the firm.


 Telezinski

Joseph C. Telezinski, Jr. has been a resident of Riverside, California since
grade school.  Mr.
Telezinski has more than six years of business
management experience prior to becoming an attorney and holds a Bachelor
of Business Administration degree.  He ranked third in his class at the time
he graduated from Western State University College of Law in Fullerton,
California, in 2000.    He obtained his license to practice law that same year,
and became an associate at Serembe, Bakke & Seaman, a San Bernardino
law firm devoted to defending workers’ compensation claims, where he
primarily represented permissibly self-insured public and private entities, as
well as insurance carriers.  In 2005, Mr. Telezinski joined with Carrie C.
     O’Connor to form O’Connor * Telezinski.  He is certified as a specialist in workers’ compensation
     law by the State Bar of California Board of Specialization.  He also is the author and presenter of the
     Wickstrom Insurance & Risk Training Center’s California Workers’ Compensation Series for claims
     professionals.  Mr. Telezinski is a Founding Partner and is Managing Partner of the firm.

     richardson

Erin R. Richardson holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from
California Lutheran
University and graduated magna cum laude from
Whittier School of Law in 2002 , earning her license to practice law that
same year.  Ms. Richardson’s years in law school included a three-year
fellowship in the Center for Children’s Rights, as well as a clerkship with the
Orange County District Attorney’s office.  She then began her career with
Serembe, Bakke & Seaman, engaged in the practice of Workers’
Compensation Defense.  In 2003, Erin returned home to the Conejo Valley
and joined the firm of Graves, Roberson & Bourassa, where she exclusively
practiced for five years in the field of Workers’ Compensation Defense,
representing insurance carriers, permissibly self-insured employers, the
California Insurance Guarantee Association, and various public entities.  In
     2008, Ms. Richardson joined O’Connor * Telezinski as Managing Partner of the San Fernando
     Valley/Ventura County office.

    REPRESENTATIVE CLIENTS

     Currently, O’Connor * Telezinski represents clients including Adelanto School District, Alta Loma
     School District, Apple Valley Unified School District, Barstow Unified School District, Chaffey
     Community College, Colton Joint Unified School District, Needles Unified School District, Oro
     Grande Elementary School District, Quality Printing, Rim of the World School District, Self-Insurers
     Security Fund, Silver Valley Unified School District, Snowline Joint Unified School District, Travelers
     Insurance, Victor Elementary School District, and Yucaipa-Calimesa Joint Unified School District.
     During their careers, the firm’s partners also have represented various public entities, including the
     City of Ontario, the City of Oxnard, the City of Redlands, the City of San Bernardino, the County of
     Los Angeles, the County of Riverside, the County of San Bernardino, and the County of Ventura.
